Enrolment Information

We welcome and encourage families to come and visit our Preschool and take a tour. Tour times are Tuesday at 3.15pm and Friday 9.15am. Please call 9545 0764 to schedule a personal tour. A completed application form must be accompanied by a non-refundable enrolment fee of $50 to be placed on our waiting list. Places at the school are offered based on availability.

Once the places are offered by the school, accepted students reserve their place with a bond equivalent to one term’s fee.

Once enrolled at Maria Montessori Preschool, we will schedule for your child’s orientation visit and we will provide a copy of our school handbook.

Enrolment

A non-refundable fee of $ 50.00 should accompany your completed Enrolment Application Form.

Bond

In the event of a place being offered an interest free bond equivalent to one term’s fee is payable within 2 weeks from the date of letter of offer. This bond will be offset against the final term tuition fees at the completion of the program.

If the child is withdrawn from the program prematurely (that is prior to the completion of the two years or optional third year) the bond will not be returned. This is to offset the financial loss incurred by the Preschool.

Levy

An annual $380.00 mandatory charge is levied to cover various items supplied by the Preschool. This fee is non-refundable and charged at the beginning of the year.

Fees

Tuition Fees are set by the Preschool Management each year. The fee for 2016 is $1,250.00/term for
3 year olds (12.5 hours/week), and $1,495.00/term for 4 year olds (15 hours/week). Fees are to be paid one term in advance. There are four terms per year. Term fee invoices will be issued in the second week of each term and payment is due within a fortnight from date of invoice. We are unable to offer any fee transfer or deductions (e.g. holidays, sick leave or leaving our Preschool). Please note that all fees are non-refundable.

No student may be enrolled for any term if fees for the previous period are unpaid.

Notice of Withdrawal

One term’s notice is required if your child is withdrawn during the year. Failure to do so will incur a term’s fee.

Fees Not Paid

The Preschool reserves the right to take legal action for the recovery of fees not paid. Any expenses, costs or disbursements incurred by the Preschool in recovering any outstanding monies, including debt collection agency fees and solicitor costs will be charged to the account.

Late Payment of Fees

A late payment fee of $ 20.00 is charged after the due date of the term fees.

Discount of Fees

A discount of 10 % of the term fee will be given for concurrently attending siblings (second and subsequent siblings, but not the first child).

Allocation of Places

The Management reserves the right to take into account when allocating places the age and gender balance of the groups, the additional needs of individual children and Government funding.

Places will be allocated in accordance with the following selection criteria:

  1. A sibling of a child who is currently enrolled in and intends to complete, or who has previously completed a 2 year (or optional 3 year) Preschool program.
  2. A child whose mother or father completed a 2 year Preschool program at our Preschool.
  3. Children enrolled as per the chronological order of registration.
  4. Allocation within Groups

The children will be allocated in accordance with criteria of age and gender balance and the needs of individual children. However due to circumstances beyond its control we cannot guarantee the class age and gender balance from year to year.

Sessions for 4 year olds

4 year old children will attend 2 ½ days (total of 15 hours/week). Additional days may be offered subject to availability.
